1. Three little birds
Dear daydream, it's been such a long while since I'd make good use of this space. I guess it's time to jot down stuffs before I start forgetting them.
The first chapter shall be dedicated to that special someone that unleashed the madness in me. The person that gave me the courage to fly across 4,000 km alone to meet a stranger that I knew through MSN Messenger. (What is wrong with me?)
Here comes the story.
Years ago, there is neither Streamyx nor Unifi, so the speed of internet was merely a crawling tortoise! We were used to have dial-up tones and house phones were disabled while there is an internet connection (WHAT?).
And so, eventually, we'd moved to sending each other text messages, that costed RM 0.50 per text message! Oh, and with the prepaid plan which mom allocated RM 30 per month, it is next to impossible to sustain the conversation. ( 60 text messages, and it's gone.)
Oh and not to mention, we'd fully utilized the 120 letters which are allowed in a text message. And! Remember those Nokia phones with dialing keypads? Yep! There's a special skill to not watch while typing a text, that allowed us to text each other in class quietly without being noticed.
Surprised. Someone was brave enough to give me a call. The first call was merely a "Hello, I'm Andy."
But later on, when the phone credits was all gone, house phones came in handy.
It feels just great to have someone that would call and chat about stuffs that happened in school. And so, I'd hop on to the earliest public bus and rush straight home! Later on, I'd wait faithfully beside the phone for his call. (Well sometimes, he will not be calling. We did not promise each other when to call, it's almost a blind wait. But usually he'd call every other day.)
He is a great listener, but not much of a chatterbox (like me). So he'd be quietly listening, sometimes adding several lines? for an hour or two about stuffs that happened to me in school. I never had someone that cared so much about me (alongside my family, my parents, especially) and remembered every single detail of what I have said.
And I thank God for blessing me with this special someone, and Celeste for letting me to know him, HAHA! Oh and myself that waved back at him.
